Dimethyltryptamine, better known as Snake, is an extremely strong psychedelic hallucinogen.
The drug is said to turn the user's eyes yellow and rapidly contract the pupils. It is also documented that after continuous use, the user's skin begins to shed. In extreme cases, users have been left with sores where skin has failed to reform after being rubbed off.
The drug was initially a modified form of a much milder hallucinogen. After several decades, however, the drug has been modified chemically to provide a stronger and stronger hallucinogenic effect. With these modifications, however, came the side effects. The drug became harder and harder to obtain as people would refuse to make it due to its dangerous strength. This increased the value of the drug and certain gangs used the drug trade to gain power and funding, such as Big Fish (PROSE: The Snake Pit).
